Maxwell J. Castor, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Relievus, serving patients at our Toms River, NJ location. With over a decade of experience in emergency medicine, occupational health, and urgent care, Maxwell brings a deep understanding of acute and chronic pain conditions, injury management, and patient-centered care.
He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where his graduate research focused on emerging treatments in regenerative medicine. His training included diverse clinical rotations in emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, and critical care, laying the groundwork for his highly versatile and effective medical practice.
Maxwell’s professional background includes work in emergency departments across Ocean and Monmouth counties, where he provided high-acuity care, performed bedside procedures, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams. Most recently, he served as Clinical Manager in Occupational Medicine, where he independently managed patient care for work-related injuries and conducted specialized physical exams and evaluations.
At Relievus, Maxwell is known for his compassionate, hands-on approach and his commitment to helping patients regain mobility and quality of life. He is certified by the NCCPA and holds advanced life support certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants (NJSSPA).
